COOLBACK® is an innovative solution that increases the output and lifespan of solar modules while reducing stacking volume and transport costs.
Developed for utility-scale solar installations in areas with relatively high solar irradiation, the integrated backsheet/frame solution provides effective heat management by cooling solar modules through natural convection and radiation. The reduced cell temperature and the minimal buildup of dust & dirt slows degradation to prolong a module’s lifespan.
COOLBACK® is a standardized, IEC-certified product that integrates protection and safety with backsheet functionality while providing added strength to a frameless structure. It falls within the standard bill of materials (BOM) under a new category, replacing the conventional frame and backsheet.
COOLBACK® enhances the yield of solar modules by tackling the main losses in kWh output. In limiting losses, COOLBACK® also prolongs the productive lifetime of solar modules, giving immediate and long-term benefits.
